About Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab

RGNUL Punjab was established by the State Legislature of Punjab by passing the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law Punjab Act (Punjab Act No. 12 of 2006). In May 2015, RGNUL was the first and only National Law University to have been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an ‘A’ grade. In March 2018, RGNUL was amongst the four law schools in India, including NLU Delhi, NALSAR, and NLUO to have been granted autonomy by the University Grants Commission.

About the Centre for Competition and Consumer Protection Laws (CCCPL)

CCCPL is a research centre dedicated to advancing understanding and promoting awareness of competition and consumer protection laws. This initiative is driven by a passionate group committed to ensuring a fair and competitive marketplace. Through their research and advocacy efforts, the center aims to contribute to the development of sound legal frameworks that protect consumers and foster healthy competition. By engaging in academic research, policy analysis, and outreach activities, the center will play a vital role in shaping the legal landscape and safeguarding the interests of both consumers and businesses.

Under the visionary aegis of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Government of India, the newly established Chair on Consumer Law at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab, presents this National Conference. This initiative serves as a premier forum for legal scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to: Evaluate the efficacy of current legal frameworks against emerging digital technologies. Bridge the gap between academic research and legislative policy-making. Empower the “New-Age Consumer” through informed discourse on enforcement and global best practices, in arenas such as dark patterns.

We cordially invite academicians, researchers, and professionals to contribute and present their research on emerging issues in consumer protection and competition law within the digital economy.

Important Dates

  • Last Date for Abstract Submission, Registration and Payment (Non-Refundable): March 28, 2026

  • Last Date for Submission of Full Paper: April 1, 2026

  • Notification of Acceptance of Paper: April 3, 2026

  • Date of Conference: April 5th-6th , 2026 Mode: Hybrid Mode (Online & Offline)

Submission Guidelines

  1. Submissions should not be shorter than 2500 words and no longer than 6000 words, with an abstract between 200-300 words.

  2. Only one (1) co-author is allowed.

  3. Use Times New Roman Font Size 12, with Line Spacing of 1.5 and Paragraph Spacing of 6 above and 6 below. Maintain margins of 1.5 inches on the left, 1 inch on the right, 1 inch on the top, and 1 inch on the bottom.

  4. All references must be in the form of footnotes in OSCOLA style.

  5. No borders are to be used in the submission.

  6. Name of the author, right-aligned, italics, after the title in the footnotes.

  7. Additionally, the Board reserves the right to make certain editorial changes, wherever required, without changing the content of the submission. Submissions made only in a .doc/.docx format are accepted.

  8. The file name must be “Title_CCCPL Manuscript” .

  9. The Title of the manuscript should not be more than 12 words.

  10. The Title, along with all the Headings should be in Bold.

  11. Submissions should be the original work of the author(s). All manuscripts will be checked for plagiarism by the Editorial Board, and offensive, abusive, derogatory, or potentially defamatory submissions will be rejected.

  12. A similarity index of 10% and an AI index of 15% will be strictly adhered to for all submissions.

  13. The author(s) are responsible for the accuracy of facts, opinions, or views stated in the submitted manuscript.

  14. Submissions must only be made by filling out this Google Form. Submissions made through any other medium will be rejected.

  15. Once the Editorial Board receives the article, it will undergo a rigorous editorial process, and the decision regarding its acceptance or rejection will be communicated to the author(s). If accepted, the article will be permitted for presentation.

The registration fee for:

  • Students: ₹500/- + GST

  • Professionals and Academicians: ₹1,000/- + GST

  • Co-authors: An additional ₹250/- + GST is payable; co-authors must register and make the payment collectively.
