CAM advises Adani Data Networks

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) acted as Indian law advisor to Adani Data Networks Limited. Adani Data Networks Limited (“ADNL”) has entered into a spectrum trading agreement for transfer of 400 MHz spectrum in 26GHz band to Bharti Airtel Limited and its subsidiary Bharti Hexacom Limited. The spectrum covers six telecom circles—Gujarat (100MHz), Mumbai (100MHz), Andhra Pradesh (50MHz), Rajasthan (50MHz), Karnataka (50MHz) and Tamil Nadu (50MHz). ADNL had secured the rights to use the spectrum in India’s first 5G spectrum auction held in 2022.

The closing of the transaction is subject to completion of standard conditions and necessary statutory approvals.

The transaction was led by Saurabh Sharma, Partner; with support from Yashaanki Kora, Associate; and Tanuj Agarwal, Associate.

The transaction was signed on 22nd April, 2025, and closing is awaiting approval of the Department of Telecommunication.
