Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS) announces Online Diploma in Housing Laws (an autonomous Diploma Course of the Indian Law Society).

About the Course:

The Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, an allied institution of the Indian Law Society, initiated this unique course — Diploma in Housing Laws in the year 1995. It is there on the legal landscape without any challenges until now. The course is designed to educate the laymen, students of law and also the professionals which has received overwhelming response since its induction.

The course on Housing Laws is very exhaustive and the purpose of training is to provide information about the laws related to Immovable property, Housing and Real Estate, in India. During the training, the participants are exposed to different laws and provisions related to land and building.

The course also entails a separate discussion with experts on RERA.

The course is designed to train the professionals, like the Architects, Civil Engineers, Promoters and Builders and Lawyers engaged in Real Estate, formation of housing societies and construction.

All these years this course was being conducted face to face with the resource persons. Now the Institute has decided to conduct the course online through G-Meet for the benefit of the participants residing outside Pune and for working professionals.

Pedagogics:

It is designed to be taught in an interactive environment and will use technology to ensure participative lectures. The participative nature will also be followed in the evaluation of students via lecture analysis, objective tests.

Classes will be held four days in a week, between 6.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. — which is suitable for the working professionals.

The faculty comprises of highly eminent lawyers from the Pune Bar, Senior Professors of ILS Law College and industry experts to ensure that the participants learn from the best!

Eligibility:

  • Graduate of any recognized University in any discipline; or

  • Candidates who are perusing 4th & 5th year BA LLB Degree programme in Law; or

  • Diploma in any discipline or any equivalent diploma from a recognized Institution

Total Exam Marks — 100

Passing percentage — 50%

Note — After completion of the final assessment, the final diploma Certificates of the PG diploma course, with seal and signature of the President of the Indian Law Society shall be issued.

Learning Outcome:

  • It acquaints the participants with basic understanding of how real estate market function.

  • It introduces the participants with relevant laws, principles and practices in real estate business.

  • It familiarizes the participants with property documentation, legal, financial and valuation aspects.

  • Conceptualizing, initiating and analyzing to negotiating, financing and closing the transactions relating to landed property.
