Reported by B. Varun Reddy

It gives us immense pleasure to announce the successful culmination of the recruitment season for the Class of 2017 at NALSAR. Keeping up with the trend of 100% recruitments at NALSAR, the RCC was successful in securing placements for all 58 of its subscribers with reputed domestic and international law firms, corporate houses and advisory firms by the end of March 2017.

With career choices of students continuing to diversify, we saw a wide variety of organisations recruit from NALSAR this year. We would like to thank and extend a warm welcome to the entities that participated in the recruitment process for the first time this year, and would like to express our gratitude to the entities that have shared a time-honoured relationship with us and continued to repose faith in the competence and quality of NALSAR students.

We would like to thank the NALSAR administration, particularly our Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Faizan Mustafa, Registrar, Prof. (Dr.) V Balakista Reddy and the faculty for their continuous support. We also wish to acknowledge the vital support and guidance extended by our alumni throughout the recruitment season. We sincerely believe that the successful completion of our recruitment season affirms the diligence and merit of the students of the Class of 2017.

We also take this opportunity to emphasise on the instrumental role that NALSAR’s rigorous academic system has played in our success. With its flexible and diverse elective and seminar course options, this academic model also allows students to pursue numerous co-curricular activities including academic writing, law review editorial positions, moot courts, client counselling, etc, thereby resulting in a well rounded law school experience.

The total strength of the 2017 Class is 74, and a total number of 58 students subscribed for the recruitment process. A total of 82 offers were received and 58 accepted. Statement from the Prof. (Dr.) Faizan Mustafa, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor:

“Congratulations to the Class of 2017 for their successful recruitment season. This is the first batch to completely benefit from our unique elective and seminar system that was introduced in 2012, and the recruitment figures for this class reflect its effectiveness. The class has also benefited from the reforms that we have initiated, such as: abolition of marks for attendance, introduction of online bidding of project, and the shift towards liberty model. I wish all my students the best for all their future endeavours.”
