Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code

The second edition of Akaant Kumar Mittal’s Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code: Law and Practice promises to be even more comprehensive than before. This edition comes in two volumes and incorporates all the changes the law has gone through from statutory amendments to case law developments. How the interpretation of the law has evolved since the inception of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 has been illustrated in detail in the book.

Author Akaant Kumar Mittal is a practitioner of law at the Punjab & Haryana High Court and NCLT, Chandigarh and an alumnus of National Law University, Delhi. The Specialist Editor for this book is Mr Murali Neelakantan, Partner, Amicus and Former General Counsel, Cipla.

The foreword for the second edition has been written by Justice Ravindra Bhat, Judge, Supreme Court of India. Justice PN Deshmukh, Member, NCLT, Mumbai and Former Judge, Bombay High Court have very kindly obliged to write special messages for this edition.

The official launch of the book will take place on 21st January at 5pm in the presence of Justice Ashok Bhushan, Chairman, NCLAT and Former Judge, Supreme Court of India and Justice Rajiv Shakdher, Judge, Delhi High Court. The book release will be followed by a panel discussion involving the experts in the field moderated by Ms Haripriya Padmanabhan, Advocate, Supreme Court. Mr Gopal Jain, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court, Dr Sanjeev Gemawat, Group General Counsel, Vedanta Group, Bishwajit Dubey, Partner, CAM and Dr Neeti Shikha, Faculty Lecturer, University of Bradford will be the panellists for the discussion.
