About the event:
The 1st RGNUL National Negotiation Competition, 2021 was conducted by the Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CADR), RGNUL from 8th October, 2021 to 10th October, 2021. The event was conducted over a period of three days having preliminary rounds, quarter-final round, semi-final round and the final round. The competition witnessed participation from 34 registered teams from different law colleges across India.The problem for the competition revolved around Aviation Law & Industry. Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas was the Chief Knowledge Partner, CAMP was the Supporting Partner, and Justice Kuldip Prakash Bhandari Foundation, Chandigarh was the Knowledge Partner for the competition.
Inauguration:
The Opening Ceremony of the 1st RGNUL National Negotiation Competition, 2021 on 8th October, 2021 was graced by Prof. (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai, Vice Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab, Ms. Hiral Gupta,Senior Associate, Shardul Amarchand & Mangal Das, New Delhi, Ms. Varuna Bhandari, Senior Advocate and Trustee Justice K P Bhandari Foundation, Chandigarh,and Prof. (Dr.) Naresh Kumar Vats, Registrar, Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab.
Events:
The event commenced on 8th October 2021 with the Opening Ceremony, graced by the presence of 45 esteemed guests and distinguished professionals of the dispute resolution fraternity. The preliminary rounds 1 and 2 of the competition were conducted through video submission made by 34 teams over Cisco Webex platform, out of which only the top 8 teams— HPNLU, Shimla; UILS, Panjab University; NLU, Delhi; CNLU, Patna; HNLU, Raipur; DSNLU, Visakhapatnam; NLIU, Bhopal; and MNLU, Mumbai— made it to the Quarter-Finals that were held on 9th October 2021. The top 4 teams— NLU, Delhi; CNLU, Patna; HNLU, Raipur; and NLIU Bhopal qualified for the Semi-Finals, followed by CNLU, Patna and NLU, Delhi to qualify for the Finals on 10th October 2021.
Valedictory Ceremony:
The closing ceremony of 1st RGNUL National Negotiation Competition, 2021 was graced by Prof. (Dr.) G.S.
