The Training and Placement Cell in association with International Cell, Symbiosis Law School, NOIDA has organised ‘Teaching Sessions on Company and Securities Law in New Zealand and Australia’ from August 23 – 28, 2018.

Company Laws in New Zealand was originally based on English Model but the year 2018 marked the 25th Anniversary of the enactment of a package of company and securities law reform legislation unprecedented in New Zealand’s commercial law history. This reform was described as ‘most radical’ reappraisal of this branch of law that has been put forward anywhere in the Commonwealth. 

About the Resource Person:
 
Prof. Lindsay Trotman an Associate Professor of Law at Massey Business School, Massey University, New Zealand. He is a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.  He is honorary solicitor for a number of charitable trusts and incorporated societies and is engaged in numerous university and community activities.
 
Prof. Trotman’s research interests are in the area of misleading or deceptive conduct and corporate law. He has contributed to a number of company law publications in New Zealand and Australia including Company and Securities Law in New Zealand and Australian Corporation Law Principles and Practice.  Lindsay has also authored books on corporate debt securities, misrepresentation and the Fair Trading Act and co-authored a book on misleading or deceptive conduct. He is an Overseas Reports Editor (New Zealand) for the Australian Journal of Competition and Consumer Law.
