The team comprising Saru Sharma, Shivali Shah, and Aaryan Goyal representing Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab emerged as the Winners of South-Asia’s largest arbitration moot, XIV National Law School Trilegal International Arbitration Moot [NLSTIAM], 2021.

 

The competition was held between 20-23rd May, among the top 20 Indian teams- selected through the memorial qualifier round- and 6 foreign teams. After two days of unabating Moot rounds and intense arguments, two teams namely; Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab and Institute of Law, Nirma University went on to qualify for the finals.

 

The Grand-Finale was adjudged by a bench comprising renowned practitioners like Salim Moollan QC (Barrister, Essex Court Chambers), Shankh Sengupta (Partner, Trilegal), Kevin Nash (Registrar & Centre Director, SIAC), Steven Finizio (Partner, WilmerHale) and Jonathan Lim (Counsel, WilmerHale). Finally, Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab turned out to be the undisputed winner of the moot. The winning team was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000/- along with an internship opportunity at Singapore Arbitration International Centre [SIAC].
