1.  Amity Law School, Noida & Uttar Pradesh:

  • Classes were conducted online through MS Teams. On account of completion of minimum number of online classes, currently no lectures are being held.
  • Internship duration has been preponed and is rescheduled to take place from April 15 – May 15, 2020 wherein the students can opt for work from home internships, writing a research paper or take up any online course. A guide has been allocated for every student and weekly meetings of the guide and the students are scheduled for the same through MS Teams.

2.  Army Institute of Law, Mohali

  • Examinations are being conducted through online mode. Required resources and study materials have been provided to students.

3.  Law School, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi

  • Classes are being conducted by way of forwarding recorded lectures and audio files through WhatsApp since April 5, 2020.
  • Additionally, BHU Administration along with the Computer Centre have taken steps to provide remote access for students and teachers to online resources available.

4.  Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune

  • On account of completion of the semester prior to the lockdown, no online classes for UG/PG programmes were conducted. However, some Diploma faculty members are currently conducting lectures, including Diploma in ADR and Diploma in Cyber Law through ZoomMeetings.
  • Additionally, BVPin association with “Lawspice”, is conducting a Webinar series on various subjects of law.

5.  Chanakya National Law University, Patna

Classes are been conducted online through Zoom Meetings. Faculty members are providing study materials through email.

6.  Christ University, School of Law, Bengaluru

On account of completion of the semester prior to the lockdown, no online classes for UG/PG programmes were conducted.

7.  DamodaramSanjivayya National Law University, Vishakapatnam

Classes are being conducted online since April 20, 2020. However, only three lectures are scheduled per day on account of internet connectivity issues and the request submitted by the student body.

8.  Government Law College, Mumbai

On account of completion of substantial number of classes prior to the lockdown, no online classes were conducted.

9.    Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar

Classes are being conducted online using Cisco WebEx since April 8, 2020. Due to technical issues, usage of Google Classroom was discontinued for conducting online classes.

10.    Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur

  • The University is slated to reopen on July 1, 2020, as per the official notification.
  • Classes are being conducted online through Google Classroom since the last week of March, 2020. The faculty members have been instructed to complete the courses by May 15, 2020.

11.    Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla

  • Classes are being conducted online through Cisco WebEx. Due to technical issues, usage of Zoom Meetings was discontinued for conducting online classes. Required study material, recorded lectures and MS PowerPoint presentations are being posted on Edmodo App.
  • The Himachal Pradesh National Law University has decided to conduct regular online classes, during the lockdown period and to facilitate the same, it has been announced that students will be reimbursed a maximum amount of Rs. 300/- for one month, to buy 4G internet packs.

    Further, the faculty will provide PPTs and other reading material to students via Edmodo Platform.

    The Time Table for Online Classes, that will continue up to June 10, 2020, has been uploaded on the University Website.

12.    ILS, Law College, Pune

Classes are being conducted online through Zoom Meetings/G-suite Meet since April 15, 2020. For official announcements, see here and here.

13.    Institute of Law, Nirma University, Ahmedabad

  • Classes are being conducted online through Google Meet since April 1, 2020. Due to technical issues and the alleged hacking of Zoom Meetings, it was discontinued for conducting online classes.The University will be reimbursing Rs. 250 for internet recharge for students.
  • Additionally, the Mid semester examinations are scheduled from April 27, 2020.

14.     Jamia Milia Islamia

  • Classes are being conducted online through Google Meet and Cisco WebEx since the first week of April, 2020. Due to technical issues and the alleged hacking of Zoom application, it was discontinued for conducting online classes. Required study materials are being provided through Google Classroom to students.
  • Additionally, the project submission deadlines and online class attendance for students from Kashmir and backward areas are relaxed to some extent by each faculty.

15.    KIIT School of Law, Bhubhaneshwar

  • Classes are being conducted online through Zoom application since March 20, 2020 and are expected to go on till April 30, 2020.
  • Planned written tests are being converted into research-based assignments.
  • Additionally, it has been decided that the End Semester Examinations would be conducted through online mode from May 25 to June 10, 2020. Efforts are being taken to make sure students can conveniently take these exams, with the option of online or offline mode due to network issues and other reasons faced by many students.

16.    Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad

  • The University is slated to reopen on July 1, 2020.
  • On account of continuation of the present semester from July, 2020, no online classes are being conducted.

17.    Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai

  • Classes are being conducted online through Zoom Meetings since March 23, 2020 and are expected to continue till at least the end of May, 2020.
  • Additionally, mid semester examinations have been converted to online assignments and are being conducted as per the convenience of the faculty members and students.

18.    Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur

  • Classes are being conducted online through Zoom Meetings since the first week of April 2020 and are expected to continue till May 4, 2020.
  • Additionally, the end semester examinations are tentatively to be held after 15 days of reopening. Students have been given a choice of online viva/presentation or they could opt to do so after reopening, keeping in mind the convenience of both the students and faculty members. There have been talks about reimbursement ofdata charges.

19.    NMIMS, Mumbai

  • Classes are being conducted online through Zoom Meetings.
  • Additionally, the examinations for the present semester have been cancelled and students will be promoted to the next semester on the basis of internal assessments.

20.    National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), Hyderabad

  • The University is slated to reopen on May 25, 2020 for doubt classes and end semester examinations are scheduled to commence from June 1, 2020.
  • Classes were conducted online through Zoom Meetingsand online recordings until April 20, 2020.
  • Additionally, students requiring funds for internet packages will be reimbursed and project deadlines have been extended to give students more time on account of network connectivity issues.

21.    National Law Institute University, Bhopal

  • Classes are being conducted online through Gmail, MS PowerPoint Presentations and recorded lectures and are expected to continue until the end of April, 2020. However, no strict timetable is being followed for these classes and the faculty members have been given the discretion in the conduct of online classes.
  • Additionally, projects have been submitted and remote access to the library resources has been provided to all students.

22.    National Law School of India University, Bengaluru

Classes are being conducted online through Zoom Application since March 23, 2020.

23.    National Law University, Delhi

  • Classes are being conducted online through Google Meet on a weekly basis. Due to technical issues and the alleged hacking of Zoom Meetings, it was discontinued for conducting online classes.The classes are not compulsory for students on account of internet connectivity issues across the country. Required audio/video resources and readings are being provided to students.
  • Additionally, the University has also procured access to “Coursera” for courses that might be in the interest of students. The number of projects has been reduced. The examination department is debating changes in the pattern of examination to be conducted and has been in consultation with the student body.

24.    National Law University, Jodhpur

  • Classes are being conducted through provision of MS PowerPoint presentations, PDF documents and relevant links.
  • Additionally, online submissions of assignments and seminar papers for assessment purposes are being undertaken.

25.    NLUJA, Assam

  • Study materials (MS PowerPoint presentations and relevant reading materials) have been shared across the student body.
  • Additionally, project submission dates have been extended and relaxations in the evaluation have been provided including waiving off the plagiarism limit.

26.    National Law University, Odisha

  • Classes are being conducted online through Google Meet, Presentation tube+Moodle and Gnomio since the last week of March, 2020. Some faculty members are also using WhatsApp to forward audio-recorded lectures.
  • Additionally, online examinations/assessment shall be done for final year students. For all other batches, offline (pen and paper) examination shall be conducted once the University re-opens.

27.    National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi

  • Classes are being conducted online through Google Classroom/ Presentation Tube since the commencement of the lockdown. Due to technical issues and the alleged hacking of Zoom Meetings, it was discontinued for conducting online classes. Compendiums, case materials and handouts are being shared through Google classrooms and e-mails(Consolidated Status of Academic Activities).
  • Additionally, the University administration has been engaging in discussions to a number of proposed suggestions.

28.    Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala

  • Classes are being conducted online through Google Meet since April 15, 2020.Required study material including MS PowerPoint presentations and PDFs are provided to the students.
  • Additionally, the University in order to facilitate online classes has decided to reimburse a maximum amount of Rs.300 for procuring 4G internet packs including Jio work from home or Airtel 4G pack etc. for one month on production of the original bill of purchase during the period of online classes.

29.    Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow

  • Classes are being conducted online through Cisco WebEx, Skype, Gmail, MS PowerPoint presentations and recorded lectures. However, no strict timetable is being followed for these classes and the faculty members have been given the discretion in the conduct of online classes.
  • Additionally, remote access to library resources has been provided to all students.

30.    Symbiosis Law School, Pune

  • Classes were conducted online through Google Meet and recorded lectures were provided to students. On account of completion of the semester, no online classes are being conducted currently.
  • Additionally, Semester End Examinations have been cancelled and pending internal submissions were taken online.

31.   Symbiosis Law School, Noida

  • Classes were conducted on Impartus platform and recorded lectures were provided to students. On account of completion of the semester, no online classes are being conducted currently.
  • Additionally, Semester End Examinations have been cancelled and pending internal submissions were taken online.

32.   Tamil Nadu National Law University, Tiruchirapalli:

  • The University has resorted to offline mode of teaching and hasprovided reading materials to cover the syllabus.
  • Internal assessments are being conducted by way of judgment-reviews, article reviews, MS PowerPoint presentations and lecture notes.
  • Notably, the students of the University received a word of encouragement from the Chancellor of the University, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Amreshwar Pratap Sahi, Chief Justice of The High Court of Judicature at Madras. Access his address to the University fraternity, titled “Shifting Horizons”

33.   University School of Law and Legal Studies, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University

Classes are being conducted online through Zoom Meetings and Cisco WebEx since March 30, 2020. Faculty members are required to complete the course latest by April 30, 2020.

34.   Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies

Classes are being conducted online through Zoom Meetings since March 25, 2020. Supplementary study material in the form of recorded videos, audios, MS PowerPoint presentations and PDFs are forwarded to the students.Faculty members are required to complete the course latest by April 28,2020.

35.    West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences

  • On account of completion of substantial number of classes prior to the lockdown, no online classes were conducted.
  • Students have been given extensions for project submissions.
  • Additionally, the end semester examinations for final year students were conducted online. For the rest of the students, the end semester examinations, that were scheduled to commence from March 25, 2020 have been postponed to take place after June 10, 2020 in pen and paper mode.
