Supreme Court Collegium recommends 19 names for appointments in 6 High Courts

Supreme Court: In the meeting held on 28-07-2025, the Supreme Court Collegium (‘SCC’) via many resolutions approved the proposals and recommended for appointment of Judges across six High Courts.

Andhra Pradesh High Court:

• The SCC approved the proposal for appointment of the following Additional Judges as Permanent Judges:
  1. Justice Harinath Nunepally,
  2. Justice Kiranmayee Mandava @ Kiranmayee Kanaparthy
  3. Justice Sumathi Jagadam

  4. Justice Nyapathy Vijay

Bombay High Court:

• The SCC approved the proposal for appointment of the following Advocates as Judges:
  1. Ajit Bhagwanrao Kadethankar
  2. Aarti Arun Sathe

  3. Sushil Manohar Ghodeswar

Calcutta High Court:

• The SCC approved the proposal for appointment of the following Additional Judges as Permanent Judges:
  1. Justice Partha Sarathi Sen
  2. Justice Apurba Sinha Ray
• Further, the SCC resolved to recommend that the following Additional Judges be granted a fresh term of one year:
  1. Justice Biswaroop Chowdhury
  2. Justice Prasenjit Biswas
  3. Justice Uday Kumar
  4. Justice Ajay Kumar Gupta
  5. Justice Supratim Bhattacharya
  6. Justice Partha Sarathi Chatterjee

  7. Justice Md. Shabbar Rashidi

Chhattisgarh High Court:

• The SCC approved the proposal for appointment of Justice Ravindra Kumar Agrawal, Additional Judge, as a Permanent Judge.

Delhi High Court:

• The SCC approved the proposal for appointment of Vimal Kumar Yadav, Judicial Officer, as a Judge.

Karnataka High Court:

• The SCC approved the proposal for appointment of Justice Gurusiddaiah Basavaraja, Additional Judge, as a Permanent Judge.
