About ARIES: Aviation Regulation, Incident & Emergency Simulation

ARIES: Aviation Regulation, Incident & Emergency Simulation is a national-level academic and experiential initiative proposed by the School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), aimed at engaging participants with contemporary challenges in aviation safety, regulation, and emergency response. In an era marked by increasing regulatory complexity and heightened accountability in the aviation sector, ARIES responds to the growing need for integrated and forward-looking governance mechanisms.

Drawing lessons from recent aviation incidents, the simulation focuses on strengthening preventive safety frameworks and real-time crisis management. ARIES adopts a continuous crisis and counterfactual simulation format, requiring participants to respond to a dynamically evolving aviation emergency involving multiple stakeholders, regulatory pressures, and international obligations.

Through this immersive approach, participants will critically examine issues such as transparent accident investigation, cross-border regulatory cooperation, and the role of emerging technologies in aviation safety. ARIES seeks to foster a holistic understanding of aviation governance by balancing State sovereignty with international collaboration, contributing to the development of resilient and effective global aviation frameworks.
