ILS Law College is pleased to announce the 14th Justice V. M. Tarkunde National Parliamentary Debate is being conducted from 13th February to 15th February, 2026.
About the Tournament:
Every year, the ILS Debating Society hosts the Justice V. M. Tarkunde National Parliamentary Debate in honour of Justice V. M. Tarkunde, a distinguished jurist and civil rights advocate. The tournament celebrates critical thinking, persuasive speaking, and spirited engagement with contemporary issues. It follows the Asian Parliamentary debating format, welcoming debaters from law schools and other institutions across India.
This year’s edition promises to build on the legacy of rigorous and healthy competition, experienced adjudicators, collaborative learning, opportunities to meet peers from across the country, and memorable debating experiences that have marked our previous successful editions.

Format: Asian Parliamentary Debate (3v3)
The tournament is a semi-open tournament and cross-institution teams are permitted to participate.
