Supreme Court: On its failure to file show cause notice for misleading Patanjali advertisements, the Supreme Court Bench questioned on why contempt of court proceedings should not be initiated against MD Acharya Balakrishna and Baba Ramdev, and also, asked them to personally appear before the Court for the same.
The Supreme Court had earlier imposed temporary ban and issued contempt notice against Patanjali Ayurveda for misleading advertisements of medicinal products addressing diseases/disorders specified in the Drugs and Magin Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954.
