DES Shri Navalmal Firodia Law College wins Surana & Surana National Trial Advocacy Moot Court and Judgment Writing Competition

Surana & Surana National Trial Advocacy Moot Court and Judgment Writing Competition was organised by New Law College, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be) University from 7th-9th September. It was inaugurated by Justice Deepak Gupta, Judge, Supreme Court of India, and was also graced by Justice Sunil. B. Shukre on 8th September, 2018. This year 22 teams participated in this prestigious Competition.

The teams that qualified for the semi-finals were:

1) National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi

2) National Law University, Nagpur

3) Damani Gopabai Bhairuratan Dayanand  Law College, Solapur

4) DES Shri Navalmal Firodia Law College, Pune

The team comprising of Sarthak Mehta, Apoorva Maheshwari, Siddharth Khandelwal and Yashwant Thorat from DES Shri Navalmal Firodia Law College, Pune won the Competition.

Runners-up: National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi (Harsh Kumar Patidar, Lokesh Mewara, Rakesh Sahu, Gursimran Kaur Bakshi)

Best Speaker: Sarthak Mehta from Dess Shri Navalmal Firodia Law College, Pune.

Best Memorial: National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi Team

Justice Hima Kohli, Judge, Delhi High Court,  Justice Sunil. B. Shukre, Judge, Bombay High Court, Justice Atul S. Chandurkar, Judge, Bombay High Court,  Justice Ashok Kumar Gaur, Judge, Rajasthan High Court, Justice Sandeep Sharma, Judge, Himachal Pradesh High Court, Justice A.M. Babu, Judge, Kerala High Court adjudicated the final round of competition on 09/09/2018.
