It gives us great pleasure to invite your esteemed institution to participate in the National Consultation on “Clinical Legal Education and Access to Justice in India: Strengthening Legal Aid Centres Through Community Engagement and Legal Reform,” scheduled to be held on 10—11 January 2026 as part of our annual flagship event, Remembering S. P. Sathe.
This year’s event marks the Golden Jubilee of the ILS Legal Aid Centre, and in honour of Professor Dr. S. P. Sathe’s pioneering contributions to legal education and access to justice, the Consultation aims to bring together leading law colleges, legal aid authorities, professionals, and community stakeholders to share innovative practices and strengthen legal aid mechanisms across the country.
We warmly invite your institution to submit a detailed proposal outlining the activities of your Legal Aid Centre/Clinic for the academic years 2022—23, 2023—24, and 2024—25, along with a brief note on notable achievements from the past decade (optional). The assessment criteria and submission details are provided in the attached document.
