Khaitan & Co Wins ‘Regional Investigations Practice of the Year’ at GIR Annual Awards 2025

Khaitan & Co GIR Award 2025

Khaitan & Co has been honoured with the coveted “Boutique or Regional Investigations Practice of the Year” award at the prestigious Global Investigations Review (GIR) Annual Awards 2025, announced recently in Washington D.C.

Khaitan & Co was the only Indian firm shortlisted in this category, alongside leading firms from Singapore, France, Brazil, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.

This recognition also marks the first time an Indian law firm has won this award, and only the second time an Asian firm has won this since inception, underscoring a significant milestone for the Indian legal industry and reinforcing its position as a leading global white collar crime and investigations practice.

Now in its 11th year, the GIR Awards are widely accepted as a global benchmark of excellence for investigation capabilities. This accolade highlights the strength, depth and expertise of Khaitan & Co’s White Collar Crime and Investigations practice and reaffirms the firm’s commitment to providing strategic, high-quality counsel in complex and sensitive matters.

The award follows multiple recognitions in the GIR Annual Rankings, with several Khaitan & Co lawyers featured individually and the firm ranked prominently among the top investigations practices globally in the latest 2025 rankings. The practice has grown rapidly and caters to pan India and cross border cases including significant experience in USA, UK, Belgium, Hong Kong, Mauritius, Singapore, Indonesia, EU (Switzerland, Germany, France, Spain) and Latam countries.

India’s white collar crime and investigations landscape is evolving rapidly, marked by rising prosecutions, increased cross border action and heightened regulatory scrutiny. Companies are responding by strengthening compliance frameworks, aligning more closely with global standards and tightening internal controls, in addition to instituting resilient risk mitigation practices.
