NLSIU to introduce three-year LL.B. course

On October 31, 2021, the occasion of the 29th convocation of the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bangalore, Vice-Chancellor Prof (Dr.) Sudhir Krishnaswamy announced the new launch of a new interdisciplinary 3-year LLB, from the next academic session starting July 2022.

Prof. Krishnaswamy asserted that the University has secured the necessary regulatory approvals from the regulatory authorities as well as the governing bodies to launch this programme.

As per NLSIU’s Inclusion and Expansion Plan 2021-25, and is looking to expand its intake to 2,200 students across all programmes, by 2028-29. In line with this vision, the University also aims to secure an additional parcel of 12 acres of land with the support of the Karnataka government. It plans to construct 90,000 square feet of classroom and learning spaces, and 2,50,000 square feet of residential facilities. Prof Krishnaswamy further revealed the University’s aim to achieve a 1:15 faculty-student ratio across all programmes.
