GNLU is organising a Guest Lecture on the topic “Transnational Legal Practice in U.S. Courts: The Recent Supreme Court Case Hebei Welcome Pharmaceutical Company”. The introductory discussion will deal with examples from the anti-corruption law (the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act) and cross-border litigation (The Hebei Welcome Pharmaceutical case).
Interested students will also be provided with some reading materials beforehand so as to familiarize them with the US legal system. Resource person for the lecture is Prof Joshua Alter, Director of Graduate Global Engagement and an Adjunct Professor of Law at St. John’s University School of Law, New York.
The lecture is scheduled for Wednesday, 3rd October at 05:00 pm in Room No. 0.6, Shishya Bhavan.
