The President in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 222 of the Constitution of India, read with Article 222(1A) of the Constitution in its application to Jammu & Kashmir, after consultation with the Governor of Jammu & Kashmir and the Chief Justice of India, transferred Shri Justice Bawa Singh Walia, Judge, Jammu & Kashmir High Court, as a Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court and directed him to assume charge of his office in the Punjab and Haryana High Court on or before 13th October, 2017.
