Justice Dalveer Bhandari to be re-nominated to the International Court of Justice

As reported by The Wire, Justice Dalveer Bhandari would be re-nominated to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for another term. Justice Bhandari was appointed to the ICJ by the UPA government in 2012, and his current term will expire on February 05, 2018. Justice Bhandari’s nomination becomes a significant affair in light of the pending case of Kulbhushan Jadhav. It is also to be noted that India’s nomination has come after the election of its nominee, Dr. Neeru Chadha to one of the seven vacant seats to the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea.
