The President in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 223 of the Constitution of India appointed Kumari Justice Gita Mittal, senior-most Judge of Delhi High Court, to perform the duties of the office of the Chief Justice of that High Court with effect from 14th April, 2017 consequent upon the retirement of Shrimati Justice Gorla Rohini, Chief Justice, Delhi High Court.
