The President in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of article 217 of the Constitution of India, appointed Shri Justice Shiavax Jal Vazifdar, Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, to be the Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.
