On 30.01.2016, in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 217 (1) of the Constitution of India, the President appointed Shri Justice Ramayyagari Subhash Reddy, Judge of the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for the State of Telangana and the State of Andhra Pradesh, as the Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.
