Crop species or genera eligible for registration under Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers’ Rights Act, 2001

On 21-01-2015, the Central Government notified the following genera or species (not being extant varieties and farmers’ varieties) namely, Canna, Gladioulus, Muskmelon, Watermelon, as eligible for registration under the Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers’ Rights Act, 2001 (53 of 2001).
