New Delhi | April 17, 2026: Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. (SAM) acted as legal counsel to Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) on the structuring and documentation of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the nature of a master infrastructure sharing agreement with Reliance Industries Limited (RIL). The arrangement focuses on the sharing and joint utilisation of deepwater upstream infrastructure and operational resources along India’s East Coast, particularly in the Krishna Godavari (KG) Basin and Andaman offshore regions.
The framework represents a first-of-its-kind large-scale offshore infrastructure sharing collaboration between ONGC and RIL and is aimed at optimising infrastructure deployment and accelerating field development timelines.
