February 09, 2025, Mumbai: In addition to advising Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) on its landmark joint ventures with Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL), CAM advised ONGC in negotiating the long term 15 year time charter party agreements for 2 Very Large Ethane Carriers (VLEC) which will be used for shipping ethane from the USA to India, creating a stable, dedicated corridor for energy feedstock movement and securing the feedstock supply chain for ONGC Petro Additions Ltd (OPaL). CAM also advised ONGC on 2 Ship Building Contracts (SBCs) to be entered by the ONGC-MOL JVs with Samsung Heavy Industries, South Korea. The contracts were signed on January 27, 2026 at the India Energy Week at Goa in the presence of the Hon’ble Minister for Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Mr. Hardeep Singh Puri. The deal team was led by Vivek Rathore, Partner; with the assistance from Nitin Gupta, Director – Projects & Infrastructure; and Nandini Shenai, Associate.
