ABOUT

The CHANAKYA LAW REVIEW (CLR) is a half yearly, peer reviewed International Journal of multidisciplinary- Fundamental Research in Law, Social Sciences, Sciences and Humanities interface with Law. It is an E-Journal with Open Access (AO). Legal education is the backbone and driving force towards social justice. In fact, it’s a social justice education. The study of law encompasses all the aspects of society. It is a study of society which needs to be regulated by social norms and statutory laws. Social behaviour depends upon the behaviour of the people living in the society. Since human needs are varied, so are the inter relations with various disciplines. It has an impact on the administration of the Justice System and governance. In order to explore the significance of interdisciplinary study, ‘the Chanakya Law Review’ (CLR) is being launched by the CIRF in IPHD of CNLU. This Journal will provide a platform to academicians all over the world on the inter-disciplinary, cross disciplinary and multidisciplinary issues in Sciences, social sciences and humanities interface with laws. Keeping in view the needs and nature of the journal, the editorial board has been constituted.

It aims to encourage authors to write papers on international issues involving multidisciplinary fundamental research and disseminate knowledge worldwide. It has objectives of publishing high quality original research work through articles and case comments that provide contemporary insight and add value to the existing Indian legal framework with respect to interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary and cross disciplinary comparative discourse with all the subject of social sciences, Sciences, Humanities interface with Law. It shall encompass all the areas in juridical sciences and Administration of Justice System, national and International.

The CIRF-in-IPHD calls for original research papers, book reviews & case analysis on Rolling Basis.

IMPORTANT GUIDELINES REGARDING THE SUBMISSIONS

Authorship

  • Co-authorship up to TWO authors is allowed.

  • Academicians, professionals, doctoral researchers are invited to submit their work.

Word count

  • Long Articles are typically of around 8000-10,000 words.

  • Short Articles are typically of around 4000-8000 words.

  • Case Analysis

  • Book reviews are generally around 2500 words. Submissions to this category must critically analyse the ideas and themes explored in the book instead of merely providing a summary of its main arguments.

All the above-mentioned word counts are exclusive of footnotes.

Format & citation

  • Each submission (except Book Review) should be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 300 words and five keywords.

  • Authors must indicate their name, academic qualifications and the name of the university/institution to which they are affiliated.

  • Font type and size of the main text must be Times Roman, 12.

  • Font type and size of the footnotes must be Times Roman, 10.

  • The main text must have a line spacing of 1.5; Abstract & Footnotes line spacing must be 1.

  • The permissible plagiarism limit is 10% & AI should be 0%.

  • Footnotes to be used for citing the sources. Citation style must adhere to ILI. No references & bibliography.

  • Manuscripts must be in MS-Word (doc./docx.) format.

CONDITIONS FOR PUBLICATION

Declaration by the Author(s)

1. The author(s) must declare that the research paper is original work, and he/she has no conflict of interest with the Publisher/CIRF-in-IPHD/CNLU.

2. That the research paper is unpublished and has not been sent to/accepted for publication by any other publication(s).

3. Once the research paper is accepted for publication, it shall not be withdrawn, even if there is a delay in publication.

SUBMISSION PROCESS

  • The name of the word file should be the Author’s Name.

  • The subject of the mail should be the Name of the journal along with the Volume and Issue.
