TNNLU Student selected for Daksha Fellowship

Vasishtan P, a TNNLU graduate of 2015-2020 batch, has been selected for Daksha Fellowship for the year 2020-2021.
The Daksha Fellowship is a first of its kind law fellowship in India that combines academic rigour and industry exposure at an ideal balance. It offers 3 specialisation pathways in Technology Law and Policy, Law & Regulation and Disputes Resolution. The structure of the fellowship includes a trimester pattern of the course, a two-month internship period, boot camps and a global immersion program.
“This one-year program opens a front door to the policy think tanks and the corporate legal world,” says Mr Vasishtan. He also opined that “the fellowship is equipped with a lineup of well-established academicians and sector professionals”.
On being asked why he chose the fellowship, Mr Vaishtan responded by saying that, “The idea of Daksha Fellowship makes a lot of sense practically since it essentially trains its fellows to aptly fit into a legal professional ecosystem at the outset of their careers, an ecosystem that measures a candidate based on their knowledge and experience. For a first-generation lawyer believing only on her/his talent, this is a beneficial program to train at. The program grooms career professionals, even at the age of a fresh law graduate.”
