On 17 February, 2016, The Union Cabinet was apprised about signing of BRICS Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the fields of Science, Technology and innovation. The objective of the MoU is to establish a strategic framework of cooperation in Science, Technology and innovation and to address the common global and regional socio-economic challenges utilizing shared experiences in Science, Technology and innovation among the BRICS countries in order to co-generate new knowledge and innovative products, services and processes etc.
