On July 28, 2021, Cabinet approves amendments to Deposit Insurance & Credit Guarantee Corporation Act vide Deposit Insurance & Credit Guarantee Corporation Act, Bill 2021 in order to provide account holders access to up to Rs 5 lakh funds within 90 days of a bank coming under moratorium.
