On 24th November 2018, KIIT University witnessed a violent group clash on campus. Reportedly, the clash occurred due to the objection raised by the Law students on eve teasing.
Later, it was reported that a group of students ranging from 300-400 students (approximately) from the Engineering Campus pelted stones, bombarded with alcohol bottles, sticks which ended up severely injuring 25+ students from the law campus.
As of now, with more threats of attack from the engineering students, the police had asked the entire law hostel (including the girls) to vacate the premises at midnight 3 o’ clock and until further notice, all classes and everything has been suspended.
