Two Day Skill Development Workshop is being conducted at the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata (NUJS) in collaboration with the Increasing Diversity through Increasing Access (IDIA) on February 11 and 12, 2020.

About IDIA

Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access (IDIA) is a non-profit pan-India project with 18 local teams at present, in the following regions: Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Bengal, Sikkim, Mizoram, Nagaland, Assam (North East), Delhi, Mumbai, Kashmir, MP, Rajasthan, Gujarat, UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and most recently in Goa.

Our Organisation is committed to providing enhanced access to legal education to un-privileged, underprivileged, and underrepresented students; encouraging and aiding them to become important contributors to society, and take their place as community leaders. This also marks our commitment to making law-schools more diverse, rich and vibrant in terms of students’ backgrounds, past-work, and ideas.

The idea of this Project had its inception right here, in our own University, and the West Bengal Chapter became the first leg of IDIA, which now has spread to many other National Law Universities (Eg.: NALSAR, NLS, NLUO, etc.). With many of our scholars leading successful careers after law school and more kids joining our chapter every year, we are more motivated now than ever in carrying forward our mission of making legal education accessible, privilege-free, non-exclusive, and diverse.
