About the Institution: Established in the year 2012, Tamil Nadu National Law School is one of the premier law institutions in India, located in the district of Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu with an aim to provide quality legal education through its holistic five year integrated courses.

About the Organisers: The legal fest, Jus Festum’18, is organised by the Legal Aid Committee in association with the Constitutional Law Society, TNNLS.

The Legal Aid Committee, TNNLS was established in the year 2014, to provide free legal services to the underprivileged through its legal services clinic, which functions every Wednesday from 3PM to 5PM and spread legal awareness through its student members who conduct awareness programs in Schools, Universities and Villages.

The Constitutional Law Society, TNNLS, a primarily student run society, constituted in the year 2017 to promote the constitutional culture and to provide a platform for deeper understanding of constitutional law through academic discussions relating to contemporary constitutional issues, debates, seminars and various competitions.

About the Fest: The student community is imperative in bringing a positive socio-legal change. To nurture and stimulate them to come forward and voice out, the Legal Aid Committee conducts Inter-University Legal Fest every year. The annual legal fest is a perfect blend of education and fun.

Jus Festum’18, the legal fest, will be a host of a mosaic of unique events, each meted out to test the academic and advocacy skills of the participants. The events are orchestrated by the organisers to sharpen the legal skills of the participants through a fun and invigorating platform.

The first edition of this fest, called La Festo’17, was held in March, 2017 and attracted over 76 participants from around 12 Universities across the country. The enthusiasm and zeal showcased by the participants in that edition, is what drove the organisers to organise Jus Festum’18 with some new and exciting events. What makes Jus Festum’18 more interesting is that we are giving an OVERALL PRIZE MONEY OF RS.75000/- for the winners and runners of all the events!
