The Dept. of Revenue Chair at the National Law School of India University is holding a Symposium on “Goods & Service Tax”  on 25-11-2017 (Saturday) at the Krishnappa Memorial Hall, National Law School Campus in Bangalore. The symposium will be inaugurated by the Chairman, CBEC and presided over by the Vice-Chancellor of the NLSIU. The speakers will be very senior officers dealing with GST in Central and State Tax Administration, legal luminaries and representatives of the Trade and Industry.

The speakers will be very senior officers dealing with GST in Central and State Tax Administration, legal luminaries and representatives of the Trade and Industry.

The theme of the symposium is – administrative challenges, legal challenges and compliance challenges faced in the implementation of GST. The symposium is intended for academicians, law and management students, tax professionals and corporate executives dealing with tax matters.

Objective of the Symposium: The main objective of this symposium is to focus on the challenges faced at various stages of GST implementation. The focus is to examine the provisions of GST law in the current scenario through the lens of legal, administrative and the tax payer’s perspective.

Who can attend: This symposium is open for representatives of Governmental Institutes and Organizations, Academicians and students, Legal practitioners and tax professionals, Management Professionals and interested public in general. You are cordially invited to participate in the symposium and enhance your understanding about the objectives and challenges of the GST regime in India.

Registrations Process and Payment Details: There shall be a registration fee of Rs. 2000 per person. The participants have to bear their own expenses with regard to travel and accommodation. The amount should be remitted to the Registrar, NLSIU, Bengaluru with due intimation through mail in the Registration Format as given below. The number of registrants is limited to 150 and is on first come first served basis. Last date of registration is 15th Nov. 2017.
