Confero 2017” was the first National Debate Competition of Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi which took place on 29th March 2017 at Campus Law Centre from 1.30 pm onwards on the topic ” Customs and Cultural Identity are Impediments to Legal Reforms” . It was sponsored by SCC Online, EBC and Stellar Dynamics.Ten final participants were filtered out of all the abstracts and videos submitted for the final round which were called to Campus Law Centre  for live debate. The response to the registration was overwhelming as we  witnessed pan India participation.
The event started with registration of the participants at 1.00 p.m that day.After the Introduction, an orientation was conducted for the participants as to clarify the rules of the debate. Thereafter, the house was opened for debate which saw exemplary speakers out of which half spoke for and half against the motion. Bhishm Khanna from NLU, Delhi was the winner against the motion and Yashdeep Chahal from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi was the winner for the motion. The winners received a cash prize of Rs.10,000 each along with books and certificates sponsored by EBC. The event concluded with a vote of thanks given by the Professor In Charge who thanked everyone who was a part of the team including SCC Online and EBC without which this event would not have been such a great success.
