- The President appointed Shri Justice Prashant Kumar, Judge of the Jharkhand High Court, as a Judge of the Allahabad High Court and directed him to assume charge of his office in the Allahabad High Court on or before 24-5-2016.
- The President appointed Shri Justice Deepak Gupta, Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court, as the Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court and directed him to assume charge of the office of the Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court on or before 23-5-2016.
- On 8-4-2016, the President appointed S/Shri (i) V. Bharathidasan, (ii) D. Krishnakumar, (iii) S.S. Sundar, (vi) M. V. Muralidaran, (v) Ponnusamy Kalaiyarasan, and (vi) B. Gokuldas, to be Judges of the Madras High Court, in that order of seniority, with eff ect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices.
- The President appointed Shri Justice Ved Prakash Vaish Judge of the Delhi High Court, as a Judge of the Meghalaya High Court and directed him to assume charge of his offi ce in the Meghalaya High Court on or before 23-5-2016.
- The President appointed Shri Justice Sudip Ahluwalia, Judge of the Calcutta High Court, as a Judge of the Punjab & Haryana High Court and directed him to assume charge of his office in the Punjab & Haryana High Court on or before 24-5-2016.
- On 8-4-2016, the President appointed S/Shri (i) Ganga Ram Moolchandani, (ii) Deepak Maheshwari, (iii) Vijay Kumar Vyas, (iv) Kailash Chandra Sharma, (v) Goverdhan Bardhar, (vi) Pankaj Bhandari, and (vii) Dinesh Chandra Somani, to be Additional Judges of the Rajasthan High Court, in that order of seniority. The appointment of S/ Shri (i) Ganga Ram Moolchandani, (ii) Deepak Maheshwari, (iii) Vijay Kumar Vyas, (iv) Goverdhan Bardhar, (v) Pankaj Bhandari, and (vi) Dinesh Chandra Somani, would be for a period of two years with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices. However, the period of appointment of Kailash Chandra Sharma would be with eff ect from the date he assumes charge of his offi ce till 31-12-2017.
- The President appointed Shri Justice Navin Sinha, Chief Justice of the Chhattigarh High Court as the Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court and directed him to assume charge of the offi ce of the Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court on or before 23-5- 2016.
- The President appointed Shri Justice Satish Kumar Agnihotri, Judge of the Madras High Court, as a Judge of the Sikkim High Court and directed him to assume charge of his office in the Sikkim High Court on or before 23-5-2016.
