Lloyd Law School, greater Noida, conducted the India Rounds for the 1st Prof. N.R.Madhava Menon SAARC Mooting Competition and Law Conference 2016. The India Round was held on the 9th and 10th of January, 2016. The moot proposition focussed on the privacy issues linked with the collection and issuance of personal data for AADHAR card.

The top 5 ranked teams in the India Rounds qualified for the SAARC Rounds to be held at the same venue from 4th-6th March, 2016. A team comprising of Gayathry Suresh, Athira E.M and Sowmya N.V represented the Kerala Law Academy Law College, Thiruvananthapuram. They were placed 4th in the preliminary rounds and thus attained eligibility for the SAARC Rounds. The team is very excited on the prospect of rubbing shoulders against competitors from other SAARC nations.

The other teams who would be representing India in the SAARC Rounds are: Nirma University, Gujarat National Law School, School of Law Christ University and Lloyd Law School. The moot proposition is considered to centre on International Law.
