{"id":84841,"date":"2016-11-11T12:17:44","date_gmt":"2016-11-11T06:47:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/?p=84841"},"modified":"2016-11-26T17:24:36","modified_gmt":"2016-11-26T11:54:36","slug":"definition-of-bank-expanded","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2016\/11\/11\/definition-of-bank-expanded\/","title":{"rendered":"Definition of bank expanded"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>S.O. 3418(E).\u2014<\/strong>In the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs, published vide number S.O. 3407 (E), dated the 8th November, 2016, in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, sub-section (ii) \u2014<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">(i) in sub-paragraph (1) of paragraph 1, for \u201cbanking company defined under the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 (10 of 1949)\u201d, read \u201cbanking company, co-operative bank, corresponding new bank, subsidiary bank, regional rural bank and the State Bank of India as defined under the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 (10 of 1949) (hereinafter referred to as \u2018banking company\u2019 or \u2018bank\u2019)\u201d;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">(ii) in paragraph 2, for \u201cpublic sector banks, private sector banks, foreign banks, Regional Rural Banks, Urban Cooperative Banks and State Co-operative Banks\u201d read \u201cbank referred to in sub-paragraph (1) of paragraph 1\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">[F.
