Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) of Union Ministry of Women and Child Development has taken cognizance of the reported incident of a rape of 13-year old girl at an Ashram School, under Hiwarkhed Police Station, District Buldhana, Maharashtra and asked the District Magistrate to investigate and submit a detailed report within a week.<\/div>\n<div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Commission took cognizance of media reports on the alleged rape, under Section 13(1)(j) of CPCR Act,2005 today and sought a copy of FIR, Medical Legal Report and the statements recorded under Section 164 Cr.P.C.\u00a0Besides, the Commission has asked for information on action taken against the accused, the present status of the victim and action taken for safety of the child.\u00a0The Commission has also enquired about the reasons for not taking action on earlier complaint of the student and whether any such incident happened in the school previously and steps taken
