G.S.R. 998(E).\u2014\u00a0<\/strong>The following draft of certain rules further to amend the Aircraft Rules, 1937, which the Central Government proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Aircraft Act, 1934 (22 of 1934), is hereby published as required by Section 14 of the said Act, for information of all persons likely to be affected thereby; and notice is hereby given that the said draft rules will be taken into consideration after a period of thirty days from the date on which copies of the Gazette of India, in which this notification is published, are made available to the public;
\nObjections or suggestions, if any, may be addressed to the Director-General of Civil Aviation, Opposite Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi-110003;
\nAny objection or suggestion which may be received from any person with respect to the said draft rules before the expiry of the period specified above will be considered by the Central Government<\/p>\n

Draft Rules<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. (1) These rules may be called the Aircraft (Amendment) Rules, 2016.
\n(2) They shall come into force on the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette.
\n2. In the Aircraft Rules, 1937(hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in sub-rule (1) of Rule 82,\u2014<\/p>\n

(a) for the words \u201cat all reasonable times\u201d, the words \u201cat all reasonable times or intervals\u201d shall be substituted;
\n(b) for the words \u201cfor the purpose of ensuring safety and order at the aerodrome\u201d, the words \u201cfor the purpose of surveillance to ensure safety and order at the aerodrome\u201d shall be substituted.<\/p>\n

3. In Rule 83 of the said rules, after sub-rule (5), the following sub-rule shall be inserted, namely:-<\/p>\n

\u201c(6) The Director-General may impose operating restriction on the license in the event of non-compliance with any condition imposed under sub-rule (1) or if any safety concern emerges during the aerodrome inspection and remains unresolved beyond the period specified by the Director-General.\u201d.<\/p>\n
