{"id":7270,"date":"2015-08-14T14:08:00","date_gmt":"2015-08-14T14:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/sccblog\/?p=7270"},"modified":"2015-11-03T11:08:15","modified_gmt":"2015-11-03T05:38:15","slug":"mou-s-signed-by-indian-railways-to-save-power-and-improve-efficiency","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2015\/08\/14\/mou-s-signed-by-indian-railways-to-save-power-and-improve-efficiency\/","title":{"rendered":"MoU\u2019s signed by Indian Railways to save power and improve efficiency"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">On 12.08.2015, four Memorandum of Understandings were signed between Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Power &amp; Ministries of New &amp; Renewable Energy and their organizations for cooperation in the areas of Electricity Transmission, Energy Conservation and promotion of Renewable Energy in a time bound manner.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li><b><span lang=\"EN-US\">MoU between Ministry of Power and Ministry of Railways-<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN-US\"> to boost knowledge sharing on various developments in the power sector to reduce the cost of electricity for the Railways. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><span lang=\"EN-US\">MOU between Ministry of Railways and Ministry of New &amp; Renewable Energy-<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN-US\"> for cooperation in the Renewable Energy to bring in a change in the energy mix &amp; Solarization of Railways.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><span lang=\"EN-US\">MOU between Ministry of Railways and Bureau of Energy Efficiency-<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN-US\"> for cooperation in the area of Energy Conservation to identify technologies to further improve efficient utilization of Energy on Railways.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><span lang=\"EN-US\">MoU between Railway Energy Management Company (REMC) and Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EES) &#8211;<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN-US\"> for implementation of energy efficient systems and conservation of energy projects for the Railways.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">These MoUs will provide a frame work for providing future solutions in the power sectors and facilitate Railways bring a change in the energy mix.
