The Repealing and Amending (Second) Act, 2015 received the assent of the President on 14.05.2015. The objective of the Act is to repeal the enactments which have ceased to be in force or have become obsolete or the retention of which as separate Acts is unnecessary OR correct\/ amend the formal defects detected in the enactments.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Act wholly repeals following enactments:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

    The Act partially repeals the following enactments:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

    1. The Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2006 (Sections 2 to 5)<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. The State Bank of Saurashtra (Repeal) and the State Sections Bank of India (Subsidiary Banks) Amendment Act, 2009 (Section 3 to 11)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      The Act amends the following enactments:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

      1. The Railways (Amendment) Act, 2008 – Omits the words and figure \u201csection 2 of\u201d in Section 2 and inserts \u201cin section 2\u201d.<\/span><\/li>\n
      2. The Indian Maritime University Act, 2008 \u2013 Substitutes the words \u201cin the Statutes made thereunder\u201d with \u201cin all Statutes made thereunder\u201d in Section 2.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
