The amended provision is as follows:<\/p>\n<p >\u201c7. Prohibition on acquisition or transfer of immovable property in <st1:country-region w:st=\"on\"><st1:place w:st=\"on\">India<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region> by citizens of certain countries<\/p>\n<p >No person being a citizen of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, China, Iran, Nepal, Bhutan, Macau or Hong Kong without prior permission of the Reserve Bank shall acquire or transfer immovable property in India, other than lease, not exceeding five years<b>.\u201d <o:p><\/o:p><\/b><\/p>\n<p ><b>-Reserve Bank of
