On 01-02-2015<\/st1:date>, the Department of Empowerment of persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India organised a first of its kind event \u201cRaahgiri Day for the persons with disabilities\u201d. The objective to organize Raahgiri Day is to provide citizens with the opportunity to reclaim their streets, connect with their community, celebrate their city and therefore reclaim their lives. The event was an effort to create an inclusive environment by way of showcasing the diverse range of unique abilities of the differently-abled children\/persons keeping in mind the spirit of initiative \u201cSabka sath Sabka vikas\u201d which includes the persons with disabilities.<\/p>\n
