On 5 December 2014<\/st1:date>, the Vice-President of India Shri M. Hamid Ansari conferred the \u201cFirst Justice Nagendra Singh International Peace Award\u201d instituted by the International Goodwill Society of India on Justice Dalveer Bhandari, Member of the International Court of Justice.<\/p>\n

The International Peace Award has been instituted in the memory of Justice Nagendra Singh, who was the founder President of the International goodwill Society, which works in the service of the nation and especially promotes universal goodwill and understanding.<\/span><\/p>\n

Justice Bhandari was elected to the International Court of Justice by the UN General Assembly and the UN Security Council in 2012. He is an internationally acclaimed jurist and legal expert, and is a deserving torch bearer of Dr. Nagendra Singh\u2019s rich legacy.<\/p>\n
