Symbiosis Law School, Pune\u2019s legal aid centre took up the matter of a 13 year old girl who was subjected to sexual abuse by the school bus attendant in her school in 2013 and with the involvement of proactive students and staff helped the victim to get financial assistance. The girl has now been sanctioned the highest compensation of Rs 3 lakhs which provided immense hope to the victim and her family. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Shashikala Gurpur, the director of SLS has also expressed her views of extending help for the welfare of prisoners\u2019 children ad providing free legal aid in cases of abuse.
