The Central Government in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971 and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Steel, dated the 26th May, 1999, published in the Gazette of India, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), vide number S.O.1611, dated the 12th June, 1999, except as respect, things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, appoints the Officer mentioned in column (1) of the Table below, being Officer equivalent to the rank of Gazetted Officer of the Government, to be Estate Officer for the purpose of the said Act and further directs that the Estate Officer shall exercise the powers conferred and perform the duties imposed, on such Officer by or under the said Act, within the local limits of its jurisdiction, in respect of the categories of public premises specified in column (2) of the said Table:\u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
