Supreme Court<\/span><\/b>:, In pursuance of the Order dated 15.04.2015, where it was directed that the said Order should be translated in local languages and be given wide publicity through newspapers, All India Radio and Doordarshan so that people realise the sacroanctity of <\/span>the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act, 1994<\/span><\/a><\/span>, the gravity of the issues raised before this Court and their redressal, and the legal angle provided by the Medical Termination of Preganancy Act, 1971; the Division Bench of Dipak Mishra and P.C. Pant, JJ.,  expressing concerns over the rising cases of female foeticide and prolonged delay in the prosecution of the cases related to the same, once again directed the respondent States and all the States of India to publicise the issues involved in the present case and the provisions of t<\/span>he Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection)<\/span> <\/span>Act, 1994<\/span> and <\/span> Medical Termination of Preganancy Act, 1971.<\/span><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

In the present case which is being represented by counsels Colin Gonsalves and <\/span>Divya Jyoti Jaipuriar for the petitioners and S.W.A. Qadri  and Binu Tamta <\/span>for the respondents,  the Court observed that it has been passing series of orders, yet there is no awareness and fear in the society regarding sex discrimination and female foeticide. The Court further directed the State of Bihar to look into the pending cases filed under the <\/span>Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act, 1994 and with utmost primacy, dispose off the cases by the end of October 2015. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

The Court also lamented upon the low rate of awareness among the competent authorities in the State of Bihar when it comes to tackle the cases of female foeticide, therefore suggestion was given to the Chairman of the Bihar Judicial Academy of the High Court of Patna to fix a time schedule and under the supervision of the concerned Chief Secretary of the State, to impart  training to the competent authorities.
