{"id":57791,"date":"2016-07-22T11:15:54","date_gmt":"2016-07-22T05:45:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/?p=57791"},"modified":"2016-09-13T14:45:30","modified_gmt":"2016-09-13T09:15:30","slug":"cabinet-approves-signing-of-air-services-agreement-between-india-and-mozambique","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2016\/07\/22\/cabinet-approves-signing-of-air-services-agreement-between-india-and-mozambique\/","title":{"rendered":"Cabinet approves signing of Air Services Agreement between India and Mozambique"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Union Cabinet has approved signing of the Air Services Agreement between India and Mozambique in order to\u00a0promote the air connectivity between the two countries, the two sides initiated the process of consultation in 2011 to finalize the text of Air Services Agreement.<\/p>\n<p>The draft text of the Air Services Agreement (ASA) has been finalized in consultation with Ministry of Finance (Deptt. of Revenue\/Deptt. of Economic Affairs), Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Law &amp; Justice (Deptt. of Legal Affairs). The major features of the Agreement include:-<\/p>\n<p>a) Multiple designation of Airlines by each party.<\/p>\n<p>b) The designated Airline of each party can enter into cooperative marketing arrangements with the designated carriers of same party, other party and that of a Third party.<\/p>\n<p>c) This agreement allows designated airlines of either countries to establish offices in the territory of other country for the promotion and sale of air services.<\/p>\n<p>d) The designated airlines of the two countries shall have fair and equal opportunity to operate the agreed services on specified routes.<\/p>\n<p>e) Apart from the above, the ASA also has the provisions relating to Revocation or Suspension of Operating Authorization, Principles governing operations of agreed services, commercial opportunities, safety and security related clause etc that were incorporated in the line of Indian model ASA.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong>Press Information
