{"id":53181,"date":"2016-06-27T10:36:30","date_gmt":"2016-06-27T05:06:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/?p=53181"},"modified":"2016-08-20T14:58:28","modified_gmt":"2016-08-20T09:28:28","slug":"permanent-lok-adalat-other-terms-and-conditions-of-appointment-of-chairman-and-other-persons-amendment-rules-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2016\/06\/27\/permanent-lok-adalat-other-terms-and-conditions-of-appointment-of-chairman-and-other-persons-amendment-rules-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Permanent Lok Adalat (Other Terms and Conditions of Appointment of Chairman and Other Persons) Amendment Rules, 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Central Government in consultation with the Chief Justice of India in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 27 of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987, makes Permanent Lok Adalat (Other Terms and Conditions of Appointment of Chairman and Other Persons) Amendment Rules, 2016 in order to amend the Permanent Lok Adalat (Other Terms and Conditions of Appointment of Chairman and Other Persons) Rules, 2003. They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the Permanent Lok Adalat (Other Terms &amp; Conditions of Appointment of Chairman and Other Persons) Rules, 2003, (hereinafter referred to as the principal rules), in rule 3,\u2014<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>In sub-rule (3), for the words \u201crupees four hundred\u201d, the words \u201cone thousand and five hundred rupees\u201d shall be substituted;<\/li>\n<li>In sub-rule (5), for the words \u201crupees three thousand\u201d, the words \u201cfive thousand rupees\u201d shall be substituted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the principal rules, in rule 4, for sub-rule (2), the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:\u2014 \u201c(2) The Chairman and other persons shall hold office for a term of five years or till the age of sixty five years, whichever is earlier\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:
